FEATURES
DESCRIPTION
The LM4953 is an audio power amplifier designed for

Pop & Click Circuitry Eliminates Noise During
driving Ceramic Speaker in portable applications.
Turn-On and Turn-Off Transitions
When powered by a 3.6V supply, it is capable of
Low, 1
μA (Max) Shutdown Current
forcing 12.6Vpp across a 2
μF + 30Ω bridge-tied-load
Low, 7mA (Typ) Quiescent Current
(BTL) with less than 1% THD+N.
12.6Vpp Mono BTL Output, Load = 2
μF+ 30Ω
Boomer
audio
power
amplifiers
were
designed
specifically to provide high quality output power with a
Thermal Shutdown
minimal
amount
of
external
components.
The
Unity-Gain Stable
LM4953 does not require bootstrap capacitors, or
External Gain Configuration Capability
snubber circuits. Therefore it is ideally suited for
display applications requiring high power and minimal
APPLICATIONS
size.
Cellphone
The LM4953 features a low-power consumption
shutdown mode. Additionally, the LM4953 features an
PDA
internal thermal shutdown protection mechanism.
KEY SPECIFICATIONS
The LM4953 contains advanced pop & click circuitry
that eliminates noises which would otherwise occur
Quiescent Power Supply Current (Vdd = 3V),
during turn-on and turn-off transitions.
7mA(Typ)
The
LM4953
is
unity-gain
stable
and
can
be
BTL Voltage Swing
configured by external gain-setting resistors.
